Karen Neuman Named Chief Privacy Officer, Department of Homeland Security

Dear Privacy Colleagues,

Starting next month, I will be taking a leave from private practice to serve as Chief Privacy Officer of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Accordingly, the SLRNO Privacy & Information Law Update will cease publication.

It has been a great pleasure writing about global trends in Privacy law and policy, and engaging with many of you in thoughtful, sometimes animated conversations about data practices as technology rapidly evolves. I look forward to continuing the conversation, albeit from a different vantage point.
